I am a postdoctoral fellow from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) T32 Cancer Metabolism Training Program at the Division of Biomarkers of Early Detection and Prevention within the Department of Population Sciences at City of Hope National Medical Center. My research interests are centered around the elucidating mechanisms of disease progression in prostate cancer health disparities. I am passionate about using my scientific knowledge to engage with vulnerable communities and train the next generation of scientists.

2024 Fellowships, Awards and Highlights
In August, I was selected as one of the recipients of the 2024 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award to present my research work at the 17th AACR Conference on The Science of Cancer Health Disparities in Racial/Ethnic Minorities and the Medically Underserved conference.
In August, I was selected for the Institutional Beckman Frontier Forum to present my research work at the City of Hope, Duarte, CA.
In June, I was awarded the Postdoctoral Diversity Enrichment Program (PDEP) grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund
In June, I received the “Excellence in Endocrinology” certificate during my poster presentation at the Endocrine Society (ENDO) Annual Meeting 2024, Minority Mentoring and Poster Reception, Boston, MA.
In March, I received the City of Hope’s Postdoctoral Training Office Travel Award to participate at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), San Diego, CA.
In April, I completed the Inaugural NIH NIDDK - LMSA LIDEReS in Research fellowship.
In January, I was selected as a newly elected member of the AACR Associate Member Council (AMC) for the 2024-2027 term.
In January, I became an Intern for The Future Leaders Advancing Research in Endocrinology (FLARE) program and newly member of the Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
